Del 1 al 17 de Mayo fui seleccionado para participar en el Internationales Forum del Berliner Festpiele Theater Treffen 2026.

Y una de las conversaciones fue:

Vi las 10 most remarkable theater plays de los países de habla Alemana. Conocí y compartí con gente llena de pasión y respeto hacia el teatro.

Tengo la sensación ahora de un llanto demorado. Después de una convocatoria internacional nos seleccionaron a 34. El llanto demorado, estoy seguro: viene de una enorme gratitud y admiración.

¿Cómo se ve el teatro para ti hoy? — era una de las preguntas en el proceso de selección —

Para mí se ve como esta perfecta receta para el desastre que se convierte, con escucha y dedicación, en una receta de amor.


From May 1st to 17th, I was selected to participate in the Internationales Forum of the Berliner Festspiele Theatertreffen 2026. And one of the conversations went: Someone: - Rolf, how many languages do you speak? - Rolf: - Everything is invented, I don’t speak any language -

I saw the 10 most remarkable theater plays from German-speaking countries. I met and shared space with people full of passion and respect for the theater.

Right now, I have the feeling of a delayed weep. After an international open call, 34 of us were selected. This delayed weep, I am certain: it stems from immense gratitude and admiration.

What does theater look like to you today? — was one of the questions in the selection process — To me, it looks like this perfect recipe for disaster that turns, with listening and dedication, into a recipe for love.
