Who I am (or what I do)(or both…)

Noé Valdés Vega's artistic practice focuses on the concept of Corporeal Dramaturgy, developing solo performance formats and collaborative choreographies. Noé Valdés Vega was born in Veracruz, Mexico.

He obtained a bachelor's degree in Contemporary Dance with special mention in 2018 from the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura de México. In 2024, he received a Master's degree in Choreography at the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden (PHfT), where he focused on the relationship between the spoken/written word and movement.

He has been awarded the DAAD-Preis 2024, the Deutschlandstipendium/Paluccastipendium 2023-2024, a scholarship from the Consejo Nacional de Humanidades, Ciencias y Tecnologías de México 2023-2024, and currently a Research Sholarship from the Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Kultus.

In 2023, he completed an Erasmus internship at the Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium in Holstebro, Denmark, where he worked as an assistant to Roberta Carreri and took part in the ACTHOW acting research seminar. He also completed an internship at the Semperoper Ballett in 2023, where he followed the production WHITE DARKNESS (with works by W. Forsythe, Sharon Eyal, Nacho Duato, David Dawson).

Noé was part of the production “Das Schloss” directed by Maxim Didenko with the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, where he worked as a choreographic advisor and supported the actors in the creative process with movement practices and body-movement awareness.

He is currently part of the Künstlerische Meisterklasse program at the PHfT. His work seeks to create a bridge between artistic-educational institutions and community outreach programs, using the body and performance as a means of communication.

Noé collaborates with the Museum Friedland - Grenzdurchgangslager, Zentralwerk Dresden, The Boat People Project, and is part of the junior research group WeAreOne “Synergies for Public Health in the Anthropocene from the Perspective of Human-Animal-Environment Interaction (BMBF-FONA)” at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

Recently, Noé shared his work at the Gesellschaft für Tanzforschung Dance Resonance – Artistic Attunement in Motion 2025, in Vienna, and at the Planetary Health Alliance Annual Meeting 2025, in Rotterdam.
