ABOUT THE FACILITATOR Noé Valdés Vega is a performer, choreographer, and researcher whose practice centers on Corporeal Dramaturgy — using the body as a site of meaning-making rather than illustration. He holds a Master's in Choreography from the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden, where his research examined the relationship between spoken language and movement, and was awarded the DAAD-Preis 2024 for outstanding academic and intercultural work. His path has taken him from an assistantship with Roberta Carreri at the Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium (Odin Teatret) in Denmark, choreographic advising on Das Schloss at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, and to be a stipendiat at the Theater Treffen International Forum from the Berliner Festspiele. He currently researches embodied communication with the WeAreOne group at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, bringing that same inquiry — the body as a means of connection — into this workshop.

THE SESSION — FIVE STAGES

01. Warm Up — Social Energy
Exercises drawn from Hartmut Rosa's theory of social energy, and Eugenio Barba’s Theatrical Anthropology, tuning perception to both group and individual energy before any movement begins.

02. Physical & Movement Awareness
Body work grounded in micro- and macro-choreography, building stamina, resistance, plasticity, and motor dexterity.

03. Partnering & Contact Improvisation
Listening as a physical skill: decentralizing the senses and connecting with scene partners through contact.

04. Text Work
Giving body to language. Exploring the connections between movement, meaning, and words.

05. Closure
Integrating the material through open discussion/prepare a sharing, then cooling the body down to close the session.

WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable clothing, suitable for floor work and partnering
